Clinical Intensive: Acupuncture during Labor & Delivery - Brooklyn, NY

When: Four day seminars
three consecutive weekly sessions (choose one)
Where: Lutheran Medical Center
150 55th St.
Brooklyn, New York  11220
United States
Claudia Citkovitz

The Intensive takes place at Lutheran Medical Center, a community hospital whose 11-room birthing unit sees over 4,000 births per year.
A maximum of 4 students per week will spend an exciting and challenging 60 hours working with Claudia both in the birthing room and on the unit itself.
This is a very vivid, highly representative slice of what hospital work is like, with varying proportions of one-on-one instruction in the Level 1 and 2 material; ‘hurry up and wait’; and magical birth moments.
Students can expect to participate in 4 to 10 births, and watch at least one C-section (through glass). They will also experience the daily working rhythm of the unit, starting at 8am with interdisciplinary rounds, and finishing around 8pm, or when we say goodbye to our last patient.
Prerequisites: Level 1; essay and application.
