The course will examine the treatment of infertility and sub-fertility through the theory of the 8 Extraordinary Vessels. Topics of discussion will include: a Daoist perspective on conception, conception preparation and early first trimester symptoms and complications.

We will explore the modern day treatment of infertility through Chinese medicine and discuss appropriate parallel care including 8 extra treatments to support and increase the efficacy of western medical protocols such as IUI and IVF.

We will review the common gynecological conditions that may be the etiology of infertility, including PCOS, endometriosis, advanced maternal age and diminished ovarian reserve. We will suggest 8 Extra treatments for the above conditions and provide case studies as examples.
