As practitioners of Oriental medicine we are expected to have an understanding of our own traditional medicine and conventional medicine. A growing number of AOM practitioners and other non-conventional medical providers use "bio-identical hormones" and other similar substances to address symptoms relating to symptoms due to perceived problems of the endocrine system.
With-in our traditional system there are theories and principles that connect to our current understanding of western physiology and endocrinology. As we examine and explore this understanding more deeply it becomes clear that we have the tools and understanding in our own healing world-view to promote and maintain health in ways that modern medicine has only recently begun to approach.
This class is focused on the thyroid and adrenal systems and how to understand and approach these kinds of imbalances using Chinese herbs and acupuncture.
- General understanding of the thyroid and adrenal systems
- Classical Chinese Medicine diagnosis patterns of thyroid and adrenal disorders
- Classical Chinese Medicine Acupuncture Treatment approaches for thyroid and adrenal disorders
- Classical Chinese Medicine Herbal formulas for thyroid and adrenal disorders
