Greetings:

Based on feedback from our comprehensive member community, the AAAOM Expo 2009 signifies a "Transition Year," converting our normal Fall conference into a Spring cycle; hence the name: Celebrate Spring: Transitions with the AAAOM. Future Expos will then be held in the spring of each year. Albuquerque is proposed for 2010 and Florida for 2011, although these locations have yet to be finalized. We will return to Chicago in 2012. The conference dates will vary slightly between the last of April and first part of May, but will not ever conflict with Easter or Mother's Day weekends. The 2009 event will be held just blocks from AAAOM's Corporate Headquarters in Sacramento California at the Hyatt, Capitol Park, across the street from the California State Capitol. Staff is quite excited about holding an Expo in our own "backyard," which will result in a spectacular "Transitional Event!"

The 2009 Conference will be modified during this transition to offer two, three-day Master’s courses in the fields of Fertility and Integrative Medicine. These Master’s courses will break down into modules, allowing attendees the option of half day, one day, two days or all three, as well as select module preferences from both categories. We have yet to decide on pre- or post-conference workshops, as our “across the street” vicinity to the State’s Capitol opens new opportunities that we are now exploring. Notification will be provided as plans progress. We will, of course, offer our early-morning Qi-Gong in Capitol Park; a beautiful setting in which to invigorate yourself and commune with nature as you start your day!

The AAAOM 2009 Conference brings together AOM health professionals, the business community, school administrators, and students from throughout the United States, to share a common interest in innovation and excellence in AOM.
