Dear AAAOM Member

Recently, two articles about the AAAOM were published by Don Petersen Jr. of Acupuncture Today (AT). The AAAOM Board of Directors has completed a response to the questionsraised by the AT articles. Should you have any additional questions about the organization, pleasesubmit a contact requeston our website and we will be more than happy to assist.

To achieve our mission and advance this profession, the AAAOM relies upon individual volunteers who freely give time away from their own practice, friends and family to make a difference. We ask the community stand with us in addressing the confusion raised by these articles and we thank you for your continued support.

Sincerely,

AAAOM Board of Directors

FPD National SurveyAAAOM 2012 ANNUAL SURVEY

The American Association for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (AAAOM) received valuable input that will be used as the basis of our ongoing efforts to represent the profession.

This survey was distributed to approximately 23,000 individuals with 1655 respondents who provided key information regarding topics facing our profession. Adequately defined items that received clear responses may continue to be used in future surveys. Inadequately defined questions that received unclear responses will be modified and may be investigated further in future surveys.

The AAAOM thanks the National Certification Commission for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (NCCAOM®) and the Council of Colleges for Acupuncture and Oriental Medicine (CCAOM) for their assistance in distributing the survey. The AAAOM also thanks the Education Committee members and contributors who diligently worked to craft the analysis of the standards, the survey, and the preliminary survey analysis.
